Yoniswell Surf Collective is a community of like minded women who share the love for surfing and its community. The ocean is a space for healing for each of us in an individual, yet collective way. Part of our mission is to advocate for and conserve the ocean waters in a sustainable form. Our mission to partner with Heal The Bay during Coastal Cleanup Month is to create an impact within our community in a positive and healthy way while conserving the ocean waters. This allows us to show gratitude, soothe our souls, and give back to a very important cause.

International Coastal Cleanup Month is one of the world's largest annual preservation and protection events and volunteer efforts for our ocean, waves and beaches. Organizers engage and motivate their communities to take action at local beach cleanups. The cumulative result is not only a cleaner and healthier coastline but also a raised consciousness for accessible actions people can integrate into their lives to promote healthy beaches on a daily basis.
The most commonly collected items are:
Plastics do not biodegrade. Instead they break down with exposure to weather and the sun’s ultraviolet rays into smaller and smaller pieces. When these pieces infiltrate the environment, especially marine environments, they wreak havoc on wildlife and the ecosystem.
You are part of the solution!
Host a beach cleanup with your network and learn other ways to combat climate change.
