Work to heal our earth, our communities and ourselves with justice and unity for the environment. Join SameSide CEO Nicole àBeckett, Day of Healing Founder Shelley Bruce and Habits of Waste's Garett Larivee for a healing ceremony and day of action to connect us to our earth and work to protect her. This event is supporting Coastal Cleanup Month, fighting climate change and raising money for Surfrider Foundation.
We must acknowledge our presence on the planet and what it means to all inhabitants. We'll start with a healing ceremony led by Day of Healing Founder Shelley Bruce to ground our connection to the ocean and land and how that connection affects communities differently. We'll also learn about the ways we can have a bigger impact on affecting climate change in our every day lives from Garett Larivee of Habits of Waste.
BONUS: Were giving away Power Through People t-shirts to the first 15 people who sign up. Your ticket covers gloves and bags and a donation to Surfrider!

International Coastal Cleanup Month is one of the world's largest annual preservation and protection events and volunteer efforts for our ocean, waves and beaches. Organizers engage and motivate their communities to take action at local beach cleanups. The cumulative result is not only a cleaner and healthier coastline but also a raised consciousness for accessible actions people can integrate into their lives to promote healthy beaches on a daily basis.
