Celebrate International Women’s Day in style – with an evening of delicious craft cocktails, a must-see comedy show, and a chance to mix and mingle with the amazing women who are “making their mark” on Denver’s business scene.
For International Women’s Day 2018, Moxie Collective – the masterminds behind the most inspiring, empowering, and engaging events for women across Denver – has put together an evening of comedy, craft cocktails, and a celebration of all the women who have “made their mark” on Denver’s business scene. It’s their biggest event yet – and something you definitely don’t want to miss. Plus, a portion of the event proceeds will support Moxie’s 2018 philanthropic partner, The Women’s Foundation of Colorado.
The evening will begin with an opportunity to schmooze with Denver’s most amazing female business owners, all while sipping on delicious, handmade whisky cocktails provided by Maker’s Mark. Don’t miss your chance to snag one of their limited edition “International Women’s Day” bottles, chronicling the story of Maker’s Mark co-founder, marketing genius, and distillery legend, Margie Samuels – a respected trailblazer whose name has become synonymous with elevating the role and profile of women in business today.
Following, the evening’s MC and ultimate “goals guru,” Jacki Carr will kick off a must-see comedy show featuring an all-female lineup of comics, including Trista Pickell, Debbie Scheer Janae Burris and ShaNae Ross. Not only will they make you laugh until you’ve got tears in your eyes – apologies to your makeup in advance – but they’ll use comedy to discuss the pivotal issues around women’s rights and equality. Whether you’re in the front row or stepping out for a bio-break, you won’t miss a beat with wireless headphones provided by our amazing friends at Sound Off Colorado, making this big event feel like an intimate gathering!
The SameSide team will also have postcards on-hand to make your voice heard by local, elected officials.
Even though most Moxie Collective events are female-only, this very special event is open to everyone. The only hitch: you must be 21 or older to attend since alcohol is being served.
