Climate Change is the Defining Issue of Our Time


We are at a defining moment. From shifting weather patterns that threaten food production, to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding and the extinction of polar bears by the end of the century, the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale. Without drastic action today, adapting to these impacts in the future will be more difficult and costly.


The Green New Deal has given hope to addressing two dire issues intersecting in America - the effects of climate change and adressing poverty. The plan provides a a 10-year program that factors climate change into virtually every area of policy - creating green jobs and erradicating environemental injustices.
